Books on Prescription

Books on prescription is a scheme where GPs and other health professionals may ‘prescribe’ self health books for their patients on a range of mental health issues. The books have been assessed and recommended by mental health professionals. The prescriptions may be taken to one of nine libraries in Walsall participating in the scheme.

This website is the main route to information and services from the NHS. You can also use the NHS Direct symptom checker to get information to help you decide if medical attention is required. In the Health Services near you section, you can easily search for local GPs, hospitals, dentists and other services, using place name or postcode.
